Our Services may contain links to other websites over which we have no control and we are not responsible for the privacy policies or practices of other websites or applications to which you navigate from our Services, website, or app. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of these other websites to understand how they collect, use and share your information.

Applicability

This privacy statement applies solely to the information we collect on Abekus.ai and its sub-domains and not to information collected otherwise including statistics of user activity on our platform. This policy does not apply to, nor does Abekus takes any responsibility for, any information that is collected by any third party either using Company Systems or through any links on the Company Systems or any of the advertisements or through BOTS.

Information we Collect

We only collect the information you share with us. You have the right to choose what information you want to share with us and we only collect information that you share with us through the company systems. We collect the following information and by using our service you consent to the policies and practices described.

  • Personal Information that you may submit or are required to submit for registration and continued use of our services and company systems.
  • Your name, title, gender, date of birth, email address, telephone number (Home/work/mobile telephone number), profile/display picture, login name, screen name, nickname, or handle, country/state/postcode, or city of residence, postal or other physical address, name(s) of the school/university (including grades and graduation year), name(s) of the workplace, job position/designation (including salary), resume/CV, information related to social profiles, such as Facebook, Google, GitHub, etc., IP addresses and other information collected passively (as further detailed in the “Passive Collection” section below), may be collected.
  • Behavioral data from your activity on our platforms like reporting, voting, participation, and performance in competitions, mock tests, and practice sections.
  • Content in the form of questions and solutions.
    • When you contribute to Abekus platform, in the form of questions and solutions, including the ones on discussion pages, you are creating a permanent, public record of every piece of content added, removed, or altered by you. The page will show the name of the original contributor and the last update. We may use your public contributions, either aggregated with the public contributions of others or individually, to create new question banks, features or data-related products for users like you or to learn more about how the Abekus is used, as further explained below in the "Processing your personal data" section of this Privacy Policy.

    Be Aware:

  • The content contributed by you is public on our platform and other users or the content management team can challenge its correctness, and modify it to improve the quality.
  • The author of the question has limited rights to the questions. Once the question is created, the author will be named the original creator of the question.
  • As any user of Abekus.ai can create questions, the platform does not take any responsibility for plagiarised content. If any question is found plagiarised, please report it to hello@abekus.com - with proof. Our team will initiate a prompt investigation and take appropriate measures.
  • The platform does implement measures to ensure that plagiarised content can be automatically eliminated, which also includes reporting by users.
  • The questions which are already active can be blocked or even deleted, at any point in the question lifecycle. This can be done to improve the overall quality of the questions or to eliminate plagiarism from the platform.

    • We collect and/or process the information, submitted by you, as part of the following activities:

  • Account registration and onboarding, use of certain Product features, and generating reports based on information collected from the use of our Products.
  • It is also used towards accessing your profile when you apply for jobs through Abekus.
  • For creating or taking tests, creating questions, solving questions, solving mock tests, reporting questions, voting on questions, etc.
  • When you contribute to content creation in the form of questions and answers on the Abekus platform.
  • Requesting service and support for our Products and providing such support, registering for an event, participating in a competition or an online survey, and participating in discussion groups or forums.
  • Registering for newsletter subscriptions and customizing the content you see.

    • Please do not include any personal information, personally identifiable information, or sensitive personal information unless specifically requested by Abekus as part of the registration or other applicable processes. If Abekus determines that any information provided by you or uploaded by you violates the terms of this policy, shall have the right, in its absolute discretion, to delete such information without incurring any liability. We may also periodically use your information received from our affiliated entities, business partners, and other third-party sources and combine it with your account information. For example: if you access or log in to our Company Systems via a third-party source like Facebook, Twitter, or LinkedIn, we may receive your registration information, and updated information. We may combine that with information we collect through our Company Systems. We can also add it to your account information on our Company Systems.

    Processing your Data

    We only use your data in accordance with this policy. We need to process your data, to fulfill the contract between us for the services you have requested. We process your data for the following purposes:

  • Use of our platform
  • Account Registration
  • Creating content for tests and taking tests
  • Generating reports from the use of our product based on the information collected. This includes the statistics of user's activities on our platform, category-wise info on the number of questions solved, correct attempts, incorrect attempts, timeouts, skipped questions, badges earned, daily activity chart, etc.
  • Generating reports from the use of our product based on the information collected from the user's profile as an author, which includes category-wise info on the total number of questions created, total likes, total bookmarks, badges received, user's followers, etc.
  • Requesting any kind of services and support for our product and for providing such support. This includes competition-wise info, including the total competitions user participated in, and the user's performance in each competition like total questions solved, accuracy, rank, badges, etc.
  • Use of your contribution
  • We use your public contributions, either aggregated with the public contributions of others or individually, to create a bank of questions, new features or data-related products for you or to learn more about how the Abekus is used.
  • To fight identity theft, spam, malware, and other kinds of abuse.
  • To test features to see what works, understand how users interact with the Abekus platform, track and study the use of various features, gain an understanding of the contributor knowledge and analyze trends.
  • Since we are a community-driven platform, the use of the information provided by you in the form of content is used in multiple ways and by providing that information, you agree to give us the right to use it.
    • We engage in these activities to further our legitimate interest and/or to comply with our legal obligations.

    Sharing of Information

  • In case of the user’s intent to search for jobs through our platform - by filling up ‘job search’ related information, the user’s job profile can be shared with potential recruiters matching the user’s profile. This information may include - various statistics of the user’s performance on the platform, job preferences, resume, past work and project details, education details, and social media links.
  • Users’ personal details including email and contact number can also be shared with potential employers or hiring partners, which they can solely use to contact users for hiring purposes. However, we do not have any control over and are not responsible for the privacy policies or practices of the hiring partners or potential employers.
  • The non-shareable information includes the user’s password - which is encrypted and cannot be seen even by Abekus employees.
  • If you post any of your personal information in public areas of Abekus, such as in online forums, social media pages, hashtags, chat rooms, comments sections, etc. It will be accessible to everyone on the internet. It may be collected and used by others over whom Abekus has no control. We are not responsible for the use made by third parties of information you post or otherwise make available in public areas of this website and other company channels.
  • We use third party services when we send you an email or SMS. In this case, it becomes necessary to pass on your email address/ mobile number to the third party. While we only work with reputed service providers in this regard, we are not responsible for the use of this information by the service providers.
  • We may also share your information to investigate, prevent, or take action about possible illegal activities or to comply with legal processes. We may also share your information with third parties to investigate and address violations of this Privacy Policy or the Terms of Service, or to investigate and address violations of the rights of third parties and/or Abekus, our employees, users, or the public. This may involve the sharing of your information with law enforcement, government agencies, courts, and/or other organizations.

    • Passive Data Collection

    Abekus might automatically collect some data about you when you are using any of our products, using methods like cookies and other tracking technologies. Information automatically collected includes page views, cookies, IP(internet protocol) addresses, geolocation data, browser, ISP (Internet ServiceProvider), and OS(Operating System) type, files viewed and downloaded from our websites, referral, and exit pages, and click stream data. Such data does not have an expiry date and we do not delete this data. This data is stored in the form of logs or third-party tracking and analytics software like Google Analytics, Linkedin Insights, etc.

    Cookies

  • Abekus use cookies to help us remember and process the items in your shopping cart. cookies are also used to help us understand your preferences based on previous or current site activities. This enables us to provide you with improved services. We also use cookies to compile aggregate data about site interactions and site traffic so that we can offer better website experiences and better tools in the future. Further, we may use cookies or other tracking technologies to analyze trends, track users’ movements around the website, and gather information about our user base, such as location information based on IP addresses.
  • You can choose to have your computer warn you each time a cookie is sent. You can also choose to turn off all cookies. You do this through your browser (like Google Chrome, Edge) settings. Each browser is a little different, so look at your browser’s Help menu to learn the correct way to modify your cookies.
  • If you disable cookies, some features will be disabled. It won’t affect the user's experience which makes our site experience more efficient and some of our services will not function properly.
  • Abekus may collect information related to visitors and machines. Such information includes cookies, pageview activities, IP addresses, and geolocation data. The details of user activities on our website such as the number of visits, time spent on our website, and pages clicked are also collected.

    • Third-Party Ad Networks

    Our Website may use third-party network advertisers to display advertisements to you and others, about our products and services on third-party websites, based on your visits to our site as well as other websites. This enables us and these third parties to target advertisements by displaying ads for our Products that might interest you.

    Third-party network advertisers’ services may use cookies, and other technologies to make their ads effective and to personalize them to connect to you. These third-party cookies and other technologies are governed by each third party’s specific privacy policy, and not this one. We may provide these third-party advertisers with anonymized and aggregated information about your usage of our website and our Products; however, we do not share your Data with these third parties. You also have the option of denying access to data to such third-party ad networks.

    Retention of Information

    Your data is retained with Abekus as long as you have an active account on the Company Systems. You can request us to delete some or all of your Personal Data from our systems. While this will be done within thirty (30)days from the date of such request, residual data may be saved in certain logs and this will be purged within a year after deleting your data. Once your data is deleted, you will no longer have an account with Abekus.

    Security of information

    We have implemented generally accepted industry standards in terms of security measures to protect your information on Abekus. The third-party payment service providers i.e. the payment gateways are all validated as compliant with the payment card industry standard, generally referred to as PCI-compliant service providers.

    We try our best to safeguard information, however, there may be factors beyond our control that may result in unwanted disclosure of information. We assume no liability or responsibility for the disclosure of your information due to causes beyond our control.In order to keep personal information secure, you must not share your password or other security information (for example, unique keys) of your Abekus account with anyone. If you are using a shared computer, please make sure you log out after every use. We will consider that the instructions have been authorized by you, if we receive instructions using your email and password.

    Your rights

    You have certain rights with respect to your data :

  • Right to access the Personal Information that is processed.
  • Right to correction of your information.
  • Right to restriction of processing ( request us to deactivate your Abekus account to restrict further processing of your Personal Data)
  • Right to object (opt-out) to processing (You can contact us to let us know that you object to the collection or use of your Personal Data for certain purposes)
  • Right to erasure (”Right to be forgotten”).
  • Right to Portability (ask for a copy of your Personal Data in a machine-readable format)

    We recommend that you regularly review this policy each time you return to our website as this policy may be updated from time to time.
